Necklace with gold pendant Córdoba
Golden history as inspiration
The gold chain pendant is designed in the shape of a ten-pointed star. The motif is derived from the sophisticated Moorish geometry found in the Mezquita of Cordoba. This iconic cathedral-mosque is a model of balance, harmony and rhythm; values that I wanted to reflect in this piece of jewelry.
Gems and symbolism
At the center shines a large blue sapphire, a gemstone that has been considered a symbol of wisdom, confidence and depth since ancient times. All around, ten diamonds sparkle in the star points. Their brightness contrasts beautifully with the deep blue of the sapphire, giving the ensemble an almost cosmic look, as if you were looking at a celestial body spreading light.
Necklace with gold pendant: personal craftsmanship
As a goldsmith, I made this pendant entirely by hand. Sawing and shaping the star requires extreme precision and dedication. To me, this is not just another pendant, but a small work of art in which architecture, history and gemstone come together. The clean geometry and the warm glow of the gold create a piece of jewelry that carries deep meaning both aesthetically and symbolically.
