This handmade ring is constructed from multiple precious metals that together form a layered and powerful whole. The inner ring is made of 14-karat yellow gold with a high-gloss finish, which provides warmth and comfort. The outer ring is made of mokume gane, composed of palladium, silver, and red gold, with a matte finish that subtly reveals the characteristic wood grain pattern.
Mokume gane as a statement of craftsmanship
The mokume gane pattern is created by forging different metals into a single piece. In this ring, the combination of palladium, silver, and red gold creates a lively yet understated surface. The matte finish enhances the pattern without overpowering it and contrasts beautifully with the shiny yellow gold on the inside.
A warm center of color and light
A 5 mm terracotta-colored tourmaline is set in the center of the ring. The warm hue of the stone harmoniously complements the red gold in the mokume gane and the yellow gold of the inner ring. Six diamonds are placed around the tourmaline, subtly catching the light and adding extra depth to the centerpiece without disrupting the tranquility of the design.
