Wedding rings silver, titanium and red gold - Mokume Gane
Rather not have standard wedding rings for your wedding? These special rings from my permanent collection are crafted in the Japanese forging technique Mokume Gane, which literally means "wood grain texture." The technique is akin to damask (or Damascus), known from traditional knives, and creates a fascinating pattern of flowing lines and natural layers.
Design and engineering
The structure of these rings is composed of silver, titanium and red gold. The metals are combined under high pressure and then forged, folded and worked into a unique wood grain-like pattern. No two rings are alike: each layer forms a new pattern, giving each pair its own character and rhythm.
Finish and wearing comfort
On the inside of the rings is a red gold inner ring, which offers a warm glow and pleasant comfort. The outside has a matte finish, showing off the natural texture beautifully. This finish gives the rings an understated, modern look with a clear artisanal signature.
Symbolism and personality
The technique of Mokume Gane symbolizes harmony and connection: separate layers that form one whole. This makes these rings not only visually special, but also meaningful as a symbol of marriage and unity.
Variations and possibilities
The rings can be manufactured in different color combinations. In addition to silver, titanium and red gold, other variations are also possible, depending on the desired look. Each pair is handmade in my workshop and can be completely tailored to the style of the bride and groom.
