Seal ring of mokume gane in copper and silver

This signet ring is crafted in mokume gane, an ancient Japanese forging technique in which different metals are layered together and then hammered and forged into a new pattern. The special character of mokume gane

Mokume gane literally means wood grain metal, and this is reflected in the vivid pattern of the surface. The fusing and deformation of the metals creates a pattern reminiscent of wood or flowing water.
