Years ago, I was considering a career switch....
Ik had lang als schadecorrespondent in verkeersschadeverzekeringen gewerkt en begon me te vervelen met die wetboeken, ik was er behoorlijk klaar mee. Nog vóór dat ik mijn eerste studie deed (22 jaar geleden) had ik een half jaar meeloopstage gedaan bij een goudsmid met eigen zaak en wist dat dit iets voor mij was. Dus aanpakken en gaan: ik ging de opleiding tot goudsmid volgen.
Then 5 years ago I started my own jewelry brand and immediately a store with workshop. By the way, the latter means: sales ín the workshop because my first address was rather small. No inheritance from a distant uncle, no financing from the bank ... just reception work at a hotel at night, cleaning in the morning and building my business in the afternoon. Those were times.
Fortunately things went very well pretty quickly and within 2 years I was able to move to a 4x larger building at an a-location in Baarn. And I haven't regretted that for a moment. I have many dear (regular) clients, I hear beautiful and touching stories, and get to receive great assignments.
Thank you, dear people, for the past 5 years. We will have a party, there will be cake and gifts ... and then we will get back to work solidly, because we are going onrrrr!
