Wedding rings with Art Deco influences and a personal story
Sometimes a special story starts very small.
He came alone, with a clear request: to have an engagement ring made with a green stone that holds deep, personal meaning for both of them.
He had found me because of my designs, which often feature subtle references to Art Deco—exactly the style she loves so much. The brief was clear but challenging: a ring that is both elegant and bold, yet strikingly flat. That called for true craftsmanship. Each setting was built by hand, carefully tailored to the stone and the design.
Architecture as inspiration for a unique engagement ring
The design evolved into a ring featuring tiered, stacked elements. A composition reminiscent of the architecture of Berlage and Dudok, where rhythm, lines, and functionality come together. Architecture translated into a piece of jewelry. Modern, thoughtful, and personal, with a subtle nod to Art Deco.
The green stone forms the centerpiece of the ring, framed by bright accents that enhance the design without disrupting its serenity. The entire piece sits low and snug against the finger, ensuring the ring remains both striking and comfortable to wear.
And luckily, she said yes!
Have wedding rings made that truly complement each other
After the proposal, they returned together, this time to choose their wedding rings. Their wish was clear: two rings that belong together but are not identical. That balance was achieved through the design language: both rings feature a stepped element, a rhythm of shapes inspired by the same architecture. The influence of Berlage and Dudok is evident in the structure, while the refinement and symmetry offer a subtle nod to Art Deco.
Two rings, one design concept
The woman’s ring fits seamlessly with her engagement ring. Together, they form a single whole, as if they were always meant to be together. The man’s ring translates the same lines into a more powerful, robust design. Less refined in detail, but with the same underlying structure and rhythm.
. Connected by design, meaning, and the story they share.
Have a custom engagement ring and wedding bands made
Having an engagement ring custom-made is more than just choosing a stone or a shape. It’s about translating a personal story into a tangible design. By drawing inspiration from architecture, art movements such as Art Deco, and the couple’s wishes, a piece of jewelry is created that is not only beautiful but also meaningful. Commissioning wedding bands requires the same level of attention. Rings that complement and enhance each other, forming a whole together.
