Holidays in the studio: the busiest, most enjoyable time of the year
In these weeks leading up to the holidays, the studio is buzzing more than ever. It is that special period when everyone is eager to shine at Christmas, and where jewelry suddenly takes on extra meaning. Gifts for loved ones, something beautiful for yourself, a symbolic gesture for someone dear to you: December is a vibrant and dynamic period for me every year with a rich mix of work.
Christmas gifts full of sparkle
On my workbench at the moment are a variety of commissions. From refined pendants and earrings to bolder designs for those who want that extra bit of flair at Christmas dinner. People consciously choose handmade; something that doesn't come from a factory, but is designed with care. It remains special to make, every time.
It's nice to see how everyone wants to shine a little more around the holidays. The dark days call for light, shine and a piece of jewelry that feels warm to the touch.
Repairs and restorations
In addition to new designs, there is also a hefty pile of repairs waiting. Jewelry that people would like to wear again for Christmas, heirlooms to be passed on to a new generation, bracelets that still need to be firmly soldered or rings that fit again.
The weeks before Christmas are always a race against the clock for me, but one with satisfaction. There is little like making someone happy with a piece of jewelry that feels like new again, just in time for the holidays.
Wedding season approaching
And while December is in full swing, wedding season is already upon us. January, February and March are popular months to have custom wedding rings made. In the background, the first designs are already ready: timeless, personal and designed with attention.
It is sometimes puzzling with new orders, repairs and wedding rings at the same time. It is this variety that makes this profession so valuable. Each piece of jewelry carries its own story.
A golden chaos
The holidays are busy, intense and warm. The workbench is full, the machines are running overtime and my head is full of ideas. It is a time when I am extra grateful for everyone who knows how to find my work, whether it is a personal gift, a repair or a set of rings for love.
Want a piece of custom jewelry made or have a repair you'd like back before the holidays? Feel free to send a message, there is always a possibility!
