These are strange times. One half of the population is working their asses off in, say, health care, while the other half of the population is not allowed to work and has to sit at home. All is not easy. Yet we see many heartwarming actions by which we want to let each other know from a distance that we are thinking of them. We applaud the care workers, put bears in the window frame for the kids, order from the local hospitality industry to keep them going. Great!
Together we are all doing our very best to make #flattenthecurve come true and it seems we are slowly but surely succeeding! We are now a month into the so-called intelligent lockdown and by now we have found a way to deal with it. But all is not easy. Because no matter how well you manage to video call your colleagues, friends and family, it is still a poor substitute for holding each other and really being close to each other.
We are probably far from being able to enjoy a glass of wine together again and hug your grandparents tightly, but you want to let your loved one know that you miss him/her.
